Saints ship OL Brown to Redskins

06/19/2010 - New Orleans, LA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The New Orleans Saints have traded left tackle Jammal Brown to the Washington Redskins in exchange for an undisclosed pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Brown, who was a restricted free agent, signed his tender offer with the Saints on Saturday. That allowed New Orleans to send the five-year veteran to Washington.

The 13th overall pick of the 2005 draft, Brown had spent his entire career with the Saints, starting all 58 games he played in. The 6-foot-6, 313- pounder out of Oklahoma missed all of last season after having hip and hernia surgery during training camp.

The Redskins will likely start the two-time Pro Bowl selection Brown at left tackle. Trent Williams, the fourth overall pick in this year's draft, will probably get the nod at right tackle.
